Description | Discover the region of the Cinque Terre which is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The Region of Liguria (in Italian Regione Liguria), More commonly known as Liguria, is a region of Italy located in the northwest of the peninsula. Its name comes from the ancient people of the Ligurians, even though they occupied a much larger territory than that of present-day Liguria. The regional capital is Genoa. Liguria forms an arc around the Ligurian Sea. It is surrounded by the Alps and the Apennines. It is a region very open on the sea and largely mountainous. |

Itinerary | Visit the incredible site of the 5 lands. Five villages which follow one another on the side of the cliff and which are revealed at the bend of the creeks along the Mediterranean: Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia and Riomaggiore. A further sign of their richness and beauty, the site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Day 1: Geneva - towards the Grand-Saint-Bernard tunnel, Aosta, Ivrea. Free dinner on the way. Continuation to Alessandria, Genoa, Chiavari. Installation at the hotel, free time. Welcome cocktail, dinner, free evening. Day 2: Between Levanto and La Spezia, the Cinque Terre are one of the most beautiful regions in Italy. These are five medieval villages that tumble down towards the sea, with their backs to steep slopes or huddled at the level of hills sculpted with terraces in floors. You discover these treasures by train, boat and on foot. Day 3: excursion to Genoa - Portofino: The city of Genoa is above all famous for its port but its historic center is also worth a detour. The old quarters are indeed home to sumptuous palaces bordered by small lively streets. Continuation of the journey to Rapallo from where you board a pleasure boat towards Portofino. Day 4: Buffet breakfast. Departure for Sestri Levante. Visit of this little gem of the Ligurian Riviera. Discover the secrets of olive oil, visit the press of the local agricultural cooperative, and tasting and return to Geneva. |
